Forest School and Wild Beach
Wild Beach
Beach School is a 6 week program of educational activity offered to all our Preschool children. Led by our qualified and experienced outdoor teacher Beckie Devlin … the program is delivered on the beach just a stone’s throw from our school.
Children enjoy the beach like a classroom. They take part in child led activities that encounter simple scientific investigations, beach games, storytelling, nature hunts, creating natural art and more.
Forest School
Both our Toddlers and our Preschool children participate in a on-site Forest School in our Woodland Area. Each term we hold sessions and a child will enjoy a 6 week programme of learning.
This is a child centred approach to learning. It’s based on children’s interests and encourages exploration, play, supported risk taking and hands on learning. Children climb, dig, observe wildlife, make dens, use simple tools and cook over a camp fire.
